What is West London Jobs Guarantee?
The West London Alliance (WLA) Jobs Guarantee is a government-funded programme designed to help young people aged 18 to 24 who have experienced long-term unemployment move into meaningful paid work across West London.
For employers, the programme offers a fully funded employment opportunity for between 5 and 6 months, providing access to motivated young people who are ready to start work. Employers receive dedicated support throughout the placement, helping both the business and the young person succeed. Funding is available to cover employment costs associated with the placement.
The programme aims to create lasting employment opportunities by helping employers fill genuine vacancies while giving young people the experience, skills and confidence needed to build sustainable careers.

The Benefits of West London Jobs Guarantee

Through Jobs Guarantee you can get funding that can cover up to 100% of wages for between 5 and 6 months* for eligible participants, including associated employment costs such as Employer National Insurance and minimum pension contributions, subject to the programme criteria.
*The job must be up to 25 hours per week at National Minimum Wage or National Apprenticeship Wage

The Jobs Guarantee gives employers the opportunity to work with and support a young person over a 5 to 6 month funded placement, allowing them to build skills, contribute to the workplace and demonstrate their potential in a real role.

The WLA borough teams take the hard work out of recruitment by sourcing eligible candidates, supporting the selection process, and providing ongoing in-work support ensuring young people have the support they need to succeed.
